A word on wire fraud
Real estate transactions are a common target for wire fraud. Always call a known, trusted number to verbally confirm payment instructions before sending funds — and treat any last-minute change to those instructions as fraudulent until you have confirmed it by phone. We will never send you new wiring details by email alone.
Before you send
Confirm the amount and deadline
Your executed contract states the deposit amount and the date it's due. If you're unsure of either, check with us before sending anything — deadlines here are firm.
Keep your receipt
Save the confirmation you receive. It's your proof of a timely deposit and it becomes part of the closing file.
Deposit amounts, deadlines, escrow holders, and refund terms are set by your purchase contract and Connecticut law. This page is general information, not legal advice.
